Job summary

Autograph Specialist Recruitment Limited is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Swansea accountancy practice for an Accounts Semi-Senior. You will support the preparation of accounts and VAT returns for a varied client base.

You will work with senior team members to ensure deadlines are met, liaise with clients to obtain information, and contribute to tax return processes. The role offers study support for ACA/ACCA, ongoing professional development, and a friendly environment with

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or ACA/ACCA study is required.
• 3+ years of experience in an accountancy practice.
• Solid understanding of accounts preparation processes.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare VAT returns for clients.
• Assist with corporation and personal tax return preparation.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and answer day-to-day queries.
• Work with senior team to ensure deadlines are met.

The Role:

As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you'll work with a varied client base, supporting the preparation of accounts and building strong client relationships. You'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience while working alongside experienced professionals who are committed to helping you progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for a range of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Preparing VAT returns.
• Supporting the completion of corporation and personal tax returns.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and answer day-to-day queries.
• Working closely with senior team members to ensure deadlines are met.

About You:

We're looking for someone who:

• Is AAT qualified or currently studying ACA or ACCA (or equivalent).
• Has 3 years + experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Has a good understanding of accounts preparation.
• Enjoys building relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Has excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
