Job summary

Rekroot in Lichfield is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. You will prepare financial statements from source documents to final accounts for review by managers.

The role includes Corporation Tax, bookkeeping/VAT, and preparing schedules to support the financial statements. You will liaise with clients and ensure high service levels.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate with AAT qualification or Part ACCA.
• IRIS software experience desirable.
• Cloud-based accounting systems knowledge including Xero, VT, QuickBooks.
• Strong IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel at an intermediate level.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Confident when dealing with clients and presenting views.
• Able to use initiative to identify problems and provide solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements from source documents to final accounts for review by managers/directors.
• Handle Corporation Tax tasks.
• Perform bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Prepare accounting schedules to support balances and transactions.

Our client is a well-established firm of Accountants based in Lichfield. They supply bespoke accountancy and taxation services to all types of businesses and individuals.

The firm are currently seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team.

The Role as a Semi Senior Accountant:

• As a Semi Senior Accountant you will be expected to prepare financial statements from source documents/records to final accounts for review by one of the managers or directors
• Corporation Tax
• Bookkeeping/VAT Returns
• Prepare accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements
• Work on a wide range of accounts and industries
• Liaise with clients directly or through the relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information
• Ensure a high level of service to meet client's expectations

The ideal candidate for this Semi Senior Accountant position:
