Job summary

Big Sky Additions Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sales Ledger / Accounts Receivable Assistant to own day-to-day ledgers, raise invoices, allocate payments and chase overdue balances. You'll work with the Financial Controller on a range of project-driven billing tasks and maintain accuracy in the sales register.

The role offers a busy, technical environment where you will analyse accounts, prepare aged debt reports and help improve finance processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role and confident managing customer accounts and resolving payment queries.
• Organised, accurate and able to communicate with colleagues and customers at different levels. SAP experience is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Raising sales invoices and credit notes, and maintaining the daily sales register
• Allocating customer payments and reconciling the sales ledger to the general ledger
• Monitoring outstanding balances and following up overdue payments
• Dealing with customer account queries and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing aged debt reports and reviewing overdue accounts
• Leading weekly accounts receivable meetings to review outstanding balances
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting improvements to finance processes
