Michael Page is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to maintain accurate customer account records and ensure timely posting of financial data within a retail setting. You will handle day-to-day receivables activities as part of the Accounting & Finance team.

The role emphasizes reconciliations, payment processing, invoicing, and timely communication with sites on payment statuses, with a permanent, full-time contract in Medway, UK.

Formación

• Experience maintaining accurate financial and customer account records.
• Confidence processing payments and matching transactions to account information.
• Sales Ledger background.
• Ability to reconcile balances and investigate discrepancies carefully.
• Clear and organised approach to managing financial documentation.
• Excel user with intermediate proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail when reviewing account data.

Responsabilidades

• Reconcile accounts receivable records and post transactions.
• Investigate payment discrepancies, over-payments and unidentified receipts.
• Maintain logs, ledgers and tracking spreadsheets.
• Process and record incoming payments accurately and promptly.
• Generate and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner.
• Maintain up-to-date customer accounts and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
• Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain settlement logs and complete checks.
• Communicate with sites regarding payment queries and account statuses.
• Support invoicing and administrative process improvements.
• Understand movements between AP and AR to keep ledgers balanced.
• Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
