Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc in Newcastle is seeking an Accounts Receivable Team Member to support working capital by ensuring invoices are raised accurately and cash is allocated promptly.

You will process cash receipts, allocations and invoicing in a high-volume environment, resolve queries quickly and work with Shared Service Centre and site colleagues to maintain internal controls and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Have achieved an A-C grade in Maths, English and IT at GCSE or the equivalent.
• Able to effectively manage time and deliver against deadlines, setting own goals and being proactive in seeking and driving improvements.
• Excellent Excel skills and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Process and allocate a high volume of cash receipts accurately and within SLAs.
• Raise a high volume of invoices, ensuring they are completed accurately within 24 hours.
• Investigate unapplied and unidentified cash receipts and follow up promptly.
• Respond to invoice and cash allocation queries with high-quality customer service.
• Maintain accurate financial records and uphold internal controls.
• Collaborate with Shared Service Centre and site-based colleagues to resolve issues.
