Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd in Manchester is seeking an Accounts Receivable professional to manage customer accounts, chase overdue payments and ensure accurate records.

You will raise invoices, monitor balances, allocate payments, reconcile accounts and prepare aged debt reports while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role offers hybrid working after probation, up to £29,000 per year, and opportunities to grow within the finance team.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or similar finance role.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Raising and issuing customer invoices and credit notes.
• Monitoring customer accounts and outstanding balances.
• Chasing overdue payments by telephone and email.
• Allocating incoming payments accurately to customer accounts.
• Reconciling customer accounts and investigating discrepancies.
• Resolving invoice queries and payment disputes promptly.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records.
• Preparing aged debt reports and providing updates on outstanding balances.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
• Assisting with month-end processes and other finance duties as required.
