Role

Transactional Finance Manager

Our client in the FMCG /food industry are looking for a new Transactional Finance Manager to join their team in Central London. This is an exciting position, seeing you lead the transactional finance function of an established brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the transactional finance team
• Oversee invoice processing, expense posting, and payment runs
• Maintain accurate records and audit trails for year-end financial audits
• Manage supplier and internal stakeholder queries related to transactions
• Deliver monthly reports on expenses, aged receivables, and overdue payables
• Finalise AP & AR general ledger accounts and review with the Financial Controller
• Support monthly cash flow forecasting
• Supervise reconciliations: supplier statements, customer accounts, and bank transactions
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in strengthening internal controls and financial procedures
• File quarterly VAT returns and maintain finance manuals
• Own and manage the debit note process

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Transactional Finance Manager, with strong exposure to AP & AR processes in the FMCG industry. The business has a large supply chain network so strong exposure to FMCG/retail/manufacturing will be necessary to support the volume of transactions. Experience with process improvement will also be needed to streamline the function in an changing environment.
