Job summary

Great Places Housing Group in Manchester is seeking an Accounts Receivable professional to handle daily invoicing, credit control, and month-end procedures. You will set up customers, amend details, and respond to queries within SLA.

The role also involves data cleansing for a new finance system and supporting audits and Rent Ledger tasks. The role requires experience in accounts receivable/sales ledger, strong communication, cross-organisational collaboration, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

  • Accounts receivable or Sales ledger experience.
  • Experience of credit control and good communication skills.
  • Experience of cross-organisational working and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to find information and resolve problems.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Experience of using various finance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Daily processing of intercompany and sales invoices.
  • Credit control and dunning activities.
  • Processing dunning letters and statements.
  • Responding to queries from the shared Accounts Receivable inbox within SLA.
  • Implementing annual price increases for schemes for invoicing.
  • Setting up new customers and amending customer details.
  • Updating invoice request forms when needed.
  • Completing Month End procedures for Sales Ledger within SLA.
  • Data cleansing in preparation for a new finance system transfer.
  • Assisting with Sales Ledger audit queries.
  • Supporting other team members in Rent Ledger as needed.
  • Assisting with any other tasks assigned by Team Leader.

What you’ll be doing
  • Daily processing of intercompany and sales invoices,
  • Credit control,
  • Processing dunning letters and statements,
  • Answering queries from the shared Accounts Receivable inbox within the SLA timescale,
  • Implementing annual price increases for schemes for invoicing process,
  • Setting up new customers and amending customer details,
  • Updating invoice request form when needed,
  • Complete Month end Procedures for Sales Ledger within the SLA timescale,
  • Keeping records up to date and work on data cleansing in preparation for a transfer to the new finance system,
  • Assisting with Sales Ledger audit queries,
  • Assisting other team members within Rent Ledger where necessary,
  • Assisting with any other tasks assigned by Team Leader.
What you’ll need
  • Account Receivable and/or Sale Ledger experience,
  • Experience of credit control and a good communication skills,
  • Experience of cross organisational working and engaging stakeholders,
  • Use of full range of Microsoft Office,
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential,
  • The ability to find information and resolve problems,
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently,
  • Experience of using various finance systems.
