The role of an Accounts Receivable Assistant is demanding, varied, and provides a good opportunity for the right candidate to join a committed, focused, and hardworking team.

We are seeking an experienced AR to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable functions and ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

This role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Main Responsibilities
  • Managing a busy inbox of customer queries, which will need to be dealt with in a timely manner
  • Reconcile cash received and ensure prompt posting and accurate allocation across accounts
  • Monitor trends and provide reporting on unallocated cash position
  • Process self-billing invoices to tight timescales, ensuring attention to detail
  • Prepare and reconcile applications for payment
  • Ensure all relevant invoices are raised on client partner portals in a timely and accurate manner
  • Create and amend client master data, ensuring that all necessary checks and approvals are in place
  • Provide high-level professional service to clients in all interactions
  • Provide statements to clients on a monthly basis
You should apply if you:
  • Are proficient in using accounting software
  • Have strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Have experience in financial services, B2B, or a related field (beneficial)
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced role and possess a passion for customer first
  • Have a positive can-do attitude
  • Are competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Are a great team player
  • Are organized and methodical, with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Have good problem-solving skills
  • Have good time-management skills and the ability to keep to tasks
  • Take accountability for your actions and treat people with respect
  • Are able to collaborate with others within and outside of the department
