Job summary

SSE PLC is seeking an Accounts Receivable professional for the Eurocentral area near Glasgow. The role supports debt recovery and cash collection targets across the Group AR remit, reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Manager.

You will resolve invoice discrepancies, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure timely queries with high-quality service levels. A strong numerical and communication skill set is essential.

The Role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of Accounts Receivable activities within the Group Accounts Receivable remit. A key focus of the role will be supporting effective debt recovery and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business to achieve debt and cash collection targets.

You will

• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly, ensuring accuracy and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Achieve and exceed performance targets aligned with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to support business objectives.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, providing timely query resolution and professional telephone support.

You will have

• Solid experience in a complex and fast-paced Accounts Receivable environment, demonstrating accuracy and resilience under pressure.
• Strong customer service orientation, ensuring positive client interactions and timely resolution of queries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• High numerical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills to manage reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
