The role

SSE Airtricity Gas Supply (NI) Ltd supplies gas to a growing customer base, with currently over 215,000 Domestic and Commercial customers in Northern Ireland. We are looking for an Administrator to join our Accounts Receivable (AR) team to help us deliver on our commitment of best-in-class customer service. The AR team processes high levels of transactions on a daily basis, which requires consistent, accurate and compliant processing.

You will

  • Conduct data processing and analysis of Prepayment meter transactions, to ensure accurate processing to customer’s accounts
  • Pro-actively investigate the Prepayment unassigned / suspense account, to identify issues preventing allocation to customer accounts
  • Follow up on queries with other internal teams, customers or external third parties to resolve any issues
  • Ensure all daily processes assigned are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Complete cross-skilling in other AR tasks, including payments, refunds, Direct Debit processing, general customer queries and supporting the delivery of overall team objectives

You have

  • Experience working in an Accounts Receivable or Finance environment, accurately processing confidential data
  • The ability to deliver accurate and reliable results within deadlines, by prioritising workload and utilising time management skills
  • Sound analytical skills, capable of resolving customer queries, complex financial queries and completing account reconciliations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent range of IT skills, including MS Office and especially Excel
