Job Description:

We are recruiting for an Assistant Accounts Payable Manager to join our team in Warrington.

This role involves managing an efficient and accurate Accounts Payable function within the Finance Shared Services, facilitating timely payments to suppliers, and ensuring accurate creditors ledgers and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing creditors of disbursements
  • Processing transactions timely
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Allocating work and being the first point of contact
  • Reviewing and implementing process improvements
  • Approving annual leave and managing absences
  • Ensuring team compliance with mandatory training
  • Managing payment runs and reviewing team work for accuracy
  • Ensuring tasks meet SRA and audit standards
  • Performing ad hoc duties and conducting performance reviews

About you:

  • Excellent Excel and reporting skills
  • Team leadership/management experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to meet deadlines with contingency planning
