Michael Page is recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor for our client’s Group Finance team in North Manchester. The role leads a five-person AP team, ensuring timely invoice processing, strong controls, and continuous improvement in a busy finance operation.

Hybrid working is offered with a competitive salary and opportunities to develop the AP function. Strong SAP and Excel skills, plus stakeholder management, are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within Accounts Payable/P2P.
• Strong end-to-end AP/P2P knowledge.
• Experience working in a high-volume finance environment.
• Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of five Accounts Payable Associates.
• Plan and prioritise daily workloads to ensure invoices and queries are processed within SLAs.
• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of high-volume supplier invoices.
• Provide expert guidance and act as an escalation point for Accounts Payable activities.
• Monitor team performance, productivity and quality, addressing issues and driving improvements.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, Group policies and audit requirements.
• Resolve supplier and stakeholder queries efficiently.
• Review performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Champion continuous improvement and streamline processes.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and wider finance teams.
• Support onboarding, training and development of team members.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable or Purchase-to-Pay team leader who enjoys leading people, improving processes and ensuring a high-quality service is delivered across a busy finance operation.

The key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Supervisor will include:

A successful Accounts Payable Supervisor will have:

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within Accounts Payable/P2P.

• Strong SAP knowledge.
• Good Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
