What you will be doing

As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, your duties will include:

1. Supervising and overseeing the Accounts Payable team
2. Managing key ledger accounts, including processing invoices, setting up payments, and statement reconciliation
3. Supporting the Group Financial Operations Manager with organising payment runs and proposals to ensure smooth processes
4. Ensuring all supplier invoices are settled promptly and efficiently
5. Liaising with departments such as Property, Commercial Finance, Finance Managers, and Management Accountants to ensure timely payments and correct ledger entries
6. Following procedures for new supplier setups and bank detail changes to prevent fraud
7. Organising and distributing invoices for approval and coordinating with staff for timely sign-offs

Who you are

To succeed as an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you should have:

1. Strong people skills, demonstrated through previous Team Leader or Supervisor roles
2. Professional experience managing high volumes of invoices in accounts payable
3. Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
5. A flexible and open attitude, willing to propose and embrace new ideas and assist where needed
