Job summary

C&C Group plc (Matthew Clark/Bibendum brands) is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the team in the UK. You will work under the Accounts Payable Team Leader, processing a large volume of invoices and supporting a busy department.

The role involves matching invoices to purchase orders, resolving queries, and maintaining supplier reconciliations within our JD Edwards/SoftCo environment. A positive, collaborative mindset and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Accounts Payable experience preferably in a multi-site organisation.
• Statement reconciliations.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Matching invoices to the correct purchase order on SoftCo.
• Query resolution.
• Priority management in a high-volume environment.
• Responding to supplier and internal queries about accounts payable or payments.
• Requesting statements from suppliers.
• Reconciliation of statements against supplier ledger.
• Debit balance resolution.
• Follow best practice whilst maintaining a high speed of working.
