Job summary

SSE plc is hiring an Accounts Payable Advisor on a fixed-term contract for 12 months in a part-time role (18 hours). The base location is MacColl House, Woodrow, Eurocentral, North Lanarkshire, with 50% of duties in that location.

You will process vendor payments, manage bank details and resolve discrepancies in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent service to colleagues and suppliers. The role offers flexible benefits and a pro rata salary of £30,684–£36,666, reflecting part-time

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable with invoice and expense processing.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Good organisational and digital skills including Excel and finance systems.
• Proactive and adaptable with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor payments and maintain vendor bank details.
• Respond to queries and build relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
• Follow established processes, controls and compliance requirements.
