Alexander Lloyd Limited is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function across a multi-site UK and European hospitality portfolio. You will manage invoice processing, supplier payments, reconciliations and controls while driving process improvements and automation.

You will develop and coach the AP team, align with senior finance leadership, support month-end close, and standardise procedures across properties and entities to strengthen financial governance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager in a multi-site hospitality environment.
• Experience managing AP teams in a high-volume transactional finance setting.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end AP processes, controls and supplier management.
• Experience across multiple properties, entities or international operations.

• Manage, coach and develop the AP team with clear objectives and workloads.
• Ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time following policies and KPIs.
• Maintain strong financial controls, approval processes and compliance with legislation.
• Oversee supplier statement reconciliations and aged creditor balances.
• Support month-end close activities, including AP reconciliations, accruals and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and introduce automation.
• Drive standardisation of AP processes across sites and entities.
• Support finance systems improvements and transformation projects.
• Act as escalation point for complex supplier queries.

Accounts Payable Manager - Multi-Site Hospitality

Location: London -Office-based

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (circa, depending on experience)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a leading European hospitality group with an extensive multi site portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, commercially minded AP professional with a strong background in multi-site hospitality, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing teams, streamlining processes and driving operational improvements.

You will take ownership of the day-to-day Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate and timely supplier payments, robust financial controls and efficient processes across multiple properties and business entities.

Working closely with senior finance leadership and operational teams, you will play a key role in improving efficiency, standardising procedures and supporting the continued development of the finance shared services function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounts Payable function across a multi-site UK and European hospitality portfolio.
• Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, supplier payments, reconciliations and query resolution.
• Manage, coach and develop the AP team, ensuring clear objectives, effective workloads and high performance.
• Ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time, in accordance with company policies and agreed KPIs.
• Maintain strong financial controls, approval processes and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Oversee supplier statement reconciliations, aged creditor balances and the resolution of outstanding issues.
• Support month-end close activities, including AP reconciliations, accruals and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual tasks and introduce automation.
• Drive consistency and standardisation of AP processes across multiple sites and business entities.
• Support finance systems improvements, integrations and transformation projects.
• Act as the key escalation point for complex supplier queries and operational AP issues

About You

We are looking for an established Accounts Payable Manager who has previously managed transactional finance operations within a multi-site hospitality business.

You will bring strong operational knowledge, excellent people management skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or Senior AP Team Leader within a multi-site hospitality environment.
• Previous multi-site hospitality experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, financial controls and supplier management.
• Experience managing and developing AP teams within a busy, high-volume transactional finance environment.
• Experience working across multiple properties, entities or international business operations.
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations and accruals.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to balance operational delivery and continuous improvement.
