Job summary

Equifind in London (Finsbury Park) is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead for a part-time role with a hybrid pattern, leading two AP Assistants and end-to-end AP process for a sport & leisure brand.

You will handle invoices, three-way matching, supplier onboarding, reconciliations, and weekly payments, ensuring controls and timely processing. The role requires 5+ years in finance, strong Excel skills, and Navision knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a finance function.
• Experience with creditors and payment runs.
• Organised, detail-oriented with strong analytical ability.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Navision system.
• Able to prioritise and manage a fast-paced workload.
• Ability to work with stakeholders and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and promptly process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and authorisation
• Ensure robust three-way matching between purchase orders, goods received, and invoices, including price verification
• Support supplier onboarding, maintaining accurate records and completing all necessary compliance checks
• Reconcile supplier statements and proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Act as the primary point of contact for supplier and internal stakeholder queries, responding in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain strong financial controls within the AP function and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability

Equifind are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Team Lead working for this Finsbury Park based Sport & Leisure firm. This is a great Part-Time opportunity for anybody returning to work following a career break, including parents and carers. The organisation partners with elite athletes and teams across multiple disciplines, delivering world‑class apparel, equipment and race support. The team is small but set to grow in the future, you'll get a chance to lead 2 X AP Assistants whilst overseeing the end‑to‑end accounts payable process, including regional and international creditors.

About The Role

Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working in a finance function
• Some previous knowledge of working on creditors and payment runs
• An organised individual who is keen to learn, has high attention to detail and the ability to build meaningful analysis
• Enjoy working with numbers and large data sets with at least an intermediate skill set level with MS Excel
• Ideally experienced with 'Microsoft Navision' system
• Ability to self‑prioritise and manage workload
• Able to work in a fast‑paced environment

Compensation

• Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 PA (Pro‑Rata)
• Annual performance related bonus (discretionary)
