Job summary

ZIGUP plc in Bristol, hybrid working within a commutable distance to the office, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will process supplier invoices, match to purchase orders, and support month-end activities within a collaborative Finance team.

Qualifications

• Previous Accounts Payable, finance administration or purchase ledger experience would be beneficial, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Comfortable processing large volumes of data and working to deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating with colleagues using Microsoft Teams and other digital tools.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote working environment.
• Able to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team.
• Organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Committed to delivering excellent customer service to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience of working with finance systems would be beneficial but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
• Matching invoices to purchase orders and investigating discrepancies.
• Resolving supplier and internal invoice queries in a timely manner.
• Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining accurate supplier accounts.
• Monitoring Accounts Payable inboxes and responding to queries.
• Supporting payment runs and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
• Supporting month-end activities as required.
• Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and meeting agreed deadlines.
• Contributing to continuous improvement within the Accounts Payable function.
