Job summary

Randstad Financial & Professional is helping a nationwide construction business recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk in Wellingborough. You will support the finance team with transactional finance, mainly accounts payable, and manage invoices end-to-end.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years' AP experience, strong Excel and SAP skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a permanent role offering £29,000–£30,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices within tight deadlines.
• Resolving queries and requests.
• Receiving and recording the receipt of invoices.
• Processing invoices to make sure payments are correct and on time.
• Processing payment runs.
• Matching and filing invoices and receipts.
• Reconciling business accounts to ensure amounts paid reflect goods and services received.
• Answering queries from suppliers, contractors and other business departments about accounts payable or payments made.
• Full end to end purchase ledger responsibility.

An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join a nationwide, well established, growing construction business - this role will be based in Wellingborough. The successful individual will support the finance team with transactional finance mainly within accounts payable.

Key responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk job will include:
