About the Role:

Reporting into Accounts Payable Team Leader, the primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Associate is to ensure that invoices received from suppliers are processed as per company policy.

The Accounts Payable Associate will be a subject matter expert for processing supplier invoices and will execute the process in line with the Group procedures and according to the internal and external audit requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the month-end process for P&L and BS, demonstrating a keen eye for detail.
  • Ensure strong financial controls are in place and continue to challenge and improve the controls in place.
  • Support the wider team with their deliverables and ongoing development.
  • Ensure a holistic view of performance to provide insight to support commercial analysis on trading performance.
  • A proactive approach to month-end and financial planning.
  • Take part in divisional finance and internal stakeholder meetings as required.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify recurring issues and potential room for improvement within current processes.
  • Strive to achieve best practice performance levels against an agreed set of KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Preferably working towards a professional qualification – AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA or QBE.
  • Fluent in English and Polish both verbal and written.
  • Strong organisational effectiveness skills; attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to perform tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment without close guidance or supervision.
  • Results driven, self-sufficient, and highly motivated.
  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Initiative and proactiveness for problem solving.
