Job description

Clark Wood is collaborating with a growing firm of Accountants in Exeter, currently seeking an Accounts Manager to join their team.

As an Accounts Manager, you will become part of a skilled team of accountants, working across a diverse portfolio of clients to deliver a wide range of services.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to train and supervise junior members of the accounts team. Additionally, you will play an active role in the strategic and operational advancement of the Accounts Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a portfolio of clients, offering services including annual accounts, self-assessment tax, corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping, and other specialized areas.

Handling day-to-day client queries and supporting their business growth and compliance needs.

Supervising Accounts Assistants, providing necessary guidance and training.

Cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships.

Proactively assisting clients with their accounting and tax planning requirements.

Ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions aligned with client objectives.

Providing regular updates and reports on accounts to clients and management.

Reviewing team members' work and effectively communicating financial performance and obligations to clients.

Monitoring clients' management accounts, identifying variances and planning opportunities.
