Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a Belfast-based Chartered Accountancy practice to recruit an Accounts Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. The role requires ACA/ACCA qualification with post-qualification experience and strong supervision experience within a UK practice. You will manage client portfolios, review year-end accounts and tax computations, and lead a growing team of accountants and bookkeepers. The firm offers flexible hours, a pension, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience.
• Management or supervisory experience within a Practice.
• Strong UK practice background.
• Knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105.
• Confident managing clients and leading a team.
• Experience with Sage, Xero or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Managing a client portfolio and building strong relationships.
• Reviewing year end accounts and corporation tax computations.
• Supporting and developing a team of accountants and bookkeepers.
• Keeping on top of deadlines and statutory filings.
• Reviewing VAT returns and management accounts.
• Spotting opportunities to offer clients additional services.
