Job summary

Allstaff Finance & Accountancy Division is seeking an Accounts Manager in Glasgow to own divisional management accounting, financial control and complex tax compliance. You will communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders, while providing key support to the Head of Finance.

The role requires at least 5 years in a finance role, strong Excel modelling, and ERP experience (SAP, Scala, SIS AP).

Qualifications

Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (AAT Level 4 or ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
At least 5 years in management accounting or a similar analytical finance role.
Solid understanding of UK tax compliance (VAT, CIS, PAYE, Corporation tax).
Experience with ERP software such as SAP, Scala, or SIS AP systems.
Advanced MS Excel with financial modelling and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Management Accounting & Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and oversee ledgers; prepare weekly debtor and invoicing reports.
Tax & UK statutory compliance: Oversee VAT, CIS, Corporation tax, PAYE, and related compliance.
Balance Sheet & Intercompany: Monthly reconciliations, multi-currency reporting, intercompany recharges and lease accounting.
Payroll & Stakeholder liaison: Post payroll journals; liaise with auditors and tax advisers; assist with surveys.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to internal controls and reporting.
