Job summary

Campey™ Turf Care Systems is seeking an Accounts Manager / Financial Controller to maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance and provide insights to support data-driven decisions. This role suits someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment with a passion for numbers and processes.

You will prepare statements, manage ledgers, analyse accounts, and support budgeting while partnering with operations and external accountants.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications ACA, ACCA or CIMA; QBE considered.
• Experience leading a finance department in a growing business.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Process and analyse accounts payable/receivable and supplier invoices.
• Prepare management reports, variance analysis and cash flow forecasts.
• Liaise with external accountants for audit, tax and reporting.
• Partner with operations on project profitability and cost allocations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in accounting.
• Experience with company pension schemes.
• Manage foreign currencies and bank accounts.

We’re seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Manager / Financial Controller to join our business. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing insight that supports data-driven decision-making across the company.This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-moving environment and has a passion for numbers, processes, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Process and analyse accounts payable, accounts receivable, and supplier invoices.
• Prepare management reports, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
• Liaise with external accountants with regards to audit, tax, and financial reporting requirements.
• Partner with operations to track project profitability and cost allocations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in accounting workflows.
• Experience of company pension schemes.
• Managing foreign currencies and bank accounts.

What You’ll Bring

• Professional qualifications either ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. QBE is also considered.
• Previous experience as a Financial Accountant running a finance department for a growing business.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency in accounting software (ideally Sage 200) and strong Excel skills.
• Understanding of deferred revenue, cost of service delivery, and recurring billing models.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time, on site.

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year / DOE
