Job summary

IPS Group Limited in York is recruiting an Accounts Manager to manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and lead client relationships. The role emphasizes cloud-based accounting and a flexible, supportive working environment with a strong work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong client management skills and the ability to provide proactive advice to business owners.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting is advantageous.
• Experience using Xero would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact.
• Overseeing the preparation of annual and management accounts.
• Providing business advisory support, including tax and financial advice.
• Supporting clients with the implementation and effective use of Xero.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients.

Summary

An established and forward-thinking independent accountancy firm in York is looking to recruit a Client Manager to manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact.
• Overseeing the preparation of annual and management accounts.

• Working closely with colleagues to ensure deadlines and service standards are met.

Applicants should have experience working within an accountancy practice, strong client management skills and the ability to provide proactive advice to business owners. Experience using Xero would be advantageous but is not essential.
