Job summary

Brampton Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Manager for an immediate start on a 9-month maternity cover contract. The role is office-based in a small, relaxed team environment and responsible for the end-to-end accounts function, VAT, payroll and bank reconciliations to provide accurate information to the management team.

The candidate will handle monthly payroll, bank reconciliations, production of monthly management accounts, and year-end financial statements.

Qualifications

• Part or fully qualified ACCA / CIMA or fully qualified AAT or equivalent.
• Proven accounts experience, ideally using Xero software.
• Payroll experience.
• IT literate with good Excel skills, databases and Xero.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Manage monthly payroll.
• Complete bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile accounts including receivable and payable.
• Produce monthly management accounts.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
• Handle accruals, prepayments, and month/year-end journals.
• Manage capital expenditure and fixed asset schedules.
• Produce P&L and Balance Sheet statements.
• Liaise with external accountants at year end.

We are seeking an immediately available Accounts Manager who can commence a 9 month maternity cover contract. This role is an office based, stand-alone role working in a small team in a relaxed and friendly environment, they are a technology business who deal with many businesses ranging from SMEs to large businesses. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accounts function runs smoothly, dealing with VAT, Payroll and bank reconciliations to ensure the management team receive the correct information.

Job Description

• To maintain financial records ensuring accurate and up to date
• To manage monthly payroll
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Reconciliation of accounts including receivable and payable
• Production of monthly managements accounts
• To prepare and submit quarterly Vat Returns
• Accruals and prepayments, month and year end journals
• Manage capital expenditure and Fixed Asset Schedules
• Produce financial statements including P&L account, Balance Sheet
• Liaise with external accountants at Year end

Candidate Requirements

Salary
