A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Accounts Manager to join a growing practice based in Colindale. Working closely with senior leadership, you will take responsibility for a large and varied portfolio of clients, with the role split approximately 90% accounts and 10% audit work. This is a hybrid role in the office c.3 days a week.
This position offers much more than standard portfolio management - you'll also oversee services for clients where a fully outsourced function is provided, and get involved in exciting projects such as ad-hoc sell-side due diligence, company and group restructures, and other assignments typical of a dynamic mid-tier practice.
Alongside managing statutory accounts and corporation tax requirements, you'll collaborate closely with tax and cloud accounting teams. As an Accounts and Audit Manager, you will lead by example, driving innovation, cultivating strong internal and client relationships, and delivering outstanding results through a collaborative and forward-thinking approach.
You will oversee a team of audit and accounts seniors, semi-seniors, and trainees, mentoring and supporting their development through day-to-day work and formal reviews.

The ideal candidate will:
Be ACA or ACCA qualified with at least four years' post-qualification experience (PQE)
Communicate confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels
Demonstrate quick learning ability and strong organisational skills
Have a solid technical background, including:
Up-to-date knowledge of International Auditing Standards and FRS 102
Experience preparing business plans and forecasts using Excel
Proficiency with CCH software for accounts production and corporation tax
Strong working knowledge of Xero, including information extraction and adjustments
Commercial awareness and an ability to pre-empt client and business needs
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of clients, developing strong relationships and ensuring excellent client service
Seamlessly onboard new clients and coordinate communication across teams
Develop and improve internal systems and processes to enhance workflow efficiency
Act as the main point of contact for all aspects of audit, accounts, and tax
Take ownership of engagements from planning through to completion
Plan staffing requirements, foresee capacity needs, and manage work allocation
Prepare, review, and finalise statutory accounts
Collaborate proactively with other departments to maintain timely and efficient workflows
Represent the firm externally, helping to build contacts and identify business development opportunities
Attend internal and external meetings as required
Work closely with other managers and senior leaders across the business
