Job summary

An Accounts & Finance Manager role in the West Midlands area is available with a leading FMCG manufacturer. The post reports to the Finance Controller and leads the day-to-day accounts function, driving process improvements, automation and team performance.

The successful candidate should be qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) and have experience in a manufacturing environment; Sage experience is desirable. A competitive salary around £50,000 plus benefits is on offer.

Responsibilities

• Take full day-to-day responsibility for managing the accounts team and ensuring timely, accurate work.
• Set clear expectations for roles to ensure accountability across purchase ledger, credit control and accounts administration.
• Lead and develop the team, conduct regular meetings and performance reviews.
• Provide financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data and preparing reports.
• Produce management information on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
• Support year-end and audits with relevant information.
