Job summary

Michael Page seeks an ABAS Accounts Executive to support a diverse client portfolio with accounting and taxation services, including bookkeeping, year-end and management accounts, VAT, and tax computations. The role requires AAT qualification and progression toward ACCA/ACA, with experience in Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with colleagues and clients.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and Companies Law, with awareness of current accounting and tax compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Client & Portfolio Support: manage deadlines, expectations, and fee processes for a portfolio of clients; respond to queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Accounts, Tax & Compliance: prepare year-end and management accounts for various entity types; prepare bookkeeping records and VAT returns; prepare corporation tax computations; assist in personal tax computations delivery.
