Job summary

Pro-Finance in Lancashire is seeking an experienced Accounts Director to join its senior leadership team. This role offers a clear path towards partnership for an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant, with responsibilities spanning accounts, business advisory, and relationship management.

You will lead a portfolio of owner-managed and privately owned businesses, mentor staff, and contribute to growth and service delivery within a growing practice. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant seeking partnership path.
• Currently at Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director level.
• Strong experience in accounts and business advisory.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of owner-managed SMEs and larger private businesses.
• Oversee delivery of accounts, year-end compliance, and advisory work.
• Develop long-term client relationships as a senior contact.
• Provide commercial and strategic advice beyond compliance.
• Review accounts ensuring high technical delivery.
• Mentor and develop accounts team members.
• Support wider team with technical queries and complex assignments.
• Identify opportunities to broaden client relationships and services.
• Play active role in business development and winning new work.
• Collaborate with Partners and senior team to grow practice.
• Contribute to internal processes and service delivery improvements.
