Clark Wood Limited is seeking an Accounts & Audit Senior to join their Oswestry office and support a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses. The role covers accounts prep, audit and business tax across multiple sectors, with client interactions on-site.

You will work closely with Managers, Directors and Partners to meet deadlines, using Xero/Sage/QuickBooks and liaising with HMRC. The position offers progression within a growing team and a market-competitive package.

Competenze

• Experience in a similar accounts and audit role within practice.
• Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified, though part-qualified, AAT qualified and newly qualified candidates will be considered.
• Good technical knowledge and strong communication skills.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable dealing directly with clients.

Accounts & Audit Senior - Oswestry

Clark Wood are working with an established accountancy practice who are looking to strengthen their growing Audit & Accounts team with the addition of an Accounts & Audit Senior in their Oswestry office.

The role will involve working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors, undertaking a mix of accounts preparation, audit and business tax work.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing accounts from incomplete records.
• Working with accounting software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
• Preparing business tax computations.
• Liaising with clients and HMRC.
• Attending client premises to undertake accounting and audit assignments.
• Working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines are met.

The ideal candidate:

• Will have experience in a similar accounts and audit role within practice.
• Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified, although part-qualified, AAT qualified and newly qualified candidates will also be considered.
• Will have good technical knowledge and strong communication skills.
• Will be organised, proactive and comfortable dealing directly with clients.
