Clark Wood, a leading specialist in accountancy practice recruitment, is partnering with a prestigious Top 20 firm of Chartered Accountants to recruit an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior for their Manchester office.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will take a leadership role in managing and executing audit assignments from planning through to completion. You’ll supervise audit teams onsite at clients' premises, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services. In addition to audit duties, you’ll be responsible for preparing and reviewing Year-End accounts and managing Corporate Tax computations.

Audit work will make up approximately 70% of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage audit assignments for a range of clients, including small owner-managed businesses and large corporate groups.

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits, ensuring adherence to audit standards and compliance requirements.

Prepare statutory accounts, including consolidated accounts when necessary.

Mentor and supervise junior team members, promoting professional development and a collaborative working environment.

Ideal Candidate:

ACA / ACCA Qualified, or at the final stages of qualification.

Significant experience in an accountancy practice, with a focus on leading audit assignments across various industries.

Strong technical knowledge in audit and accounting, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
