Job summary

TPF Recruitment are representing a growing firm of Chartered Accountants in Poole seeking an Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior. The role focuses on accounts and general practice, with limited audit exposure. Training and support are provided as you develop your audit and accounts expertise.

You will work with managers and partners across a diverse client base, including OMBs and SMEs, and contribute to a proactive, friendly team environment in modern offices.

Qualifications

TPF Recruitment are proud to be representing a growing and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Poole that is looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior as part of its continued expansion.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and modern accountancy practice. The role is predominantly focused on accounts and general practice work, with only a small amount of audit involvement. Previous audit experience is not essential, making this an ideal position for someone currently working in practice who wants to gain some exposure to audit while continuing to develop their accounts expertise.

The Role

Working closely with managers and partners, you will support a varied portfolio of clients ranging from OMB's and SMEs to larger established organisations across a range of sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparingstatutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
  
• Assistingwith the preparation of management accounts.
  
• Preparingcorporation tax computations and returns.
  
• CompletingVAT returns and bookkeeping reviews where required.
  
• Maintainingregular communication with clients and providing day-to-day support.
  
• Assistingwith a small number of audit assignments and audit fieldwork.
  
• Supportingsenior team members with ad hoc assignments and client projects.
  
• Ensuringwork is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  

Requirements

• Have experience working within a UK accountancy practice environment.
• Bestudying towards, or qualified in, AAT, ACA or ACCA (or be qualified by experience).
• Have experience preparing accounts for a variety of clients.
• Possessstrong organisational and communication skills.
• Beconfident building relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Havea proactive and positive approach to learning and professional development.
• Audit experience is not required . Full support and trainingwill be provided for any audit work involved in the role.
  
• Salary circa £30,000 - £37,500 depending on experience and qualification status.
