Job summary

Howett Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Ltd in Camberley is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their client’s finance team on a temporary basis. You will manage the purchase and sales ledgers, process invoices and perform reconciliations.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, be proficient with Xero, and be available to start at short notice for immediate temporary support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Experience in using Xero is essential.
• Able to start at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Managing the purchase and sales ledger function
• Processing supplier invoices, matching, batching and coding
• Raising sales invoices and monitoring outstanding debtors
• Completing daily bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cash records
• Preparing weekly payment runs
• Reconciling supplier, customer and inter-company accounts
• Managing petty cash and company credit card reconciliations
• Processing employee expenses
• Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
