Job summary

Blusource in Cambridge is seeking an Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accountant to join a well known, modern firm of Chartered Accountants. You will gain exposure to accounts prep, tax, VAT, MTD, audit and service charge work with training and support provided.

The role suits candidates at various career stages, from studying towards AAT/ACCA to seasoned professionals, with tailored responsibilities and a focus on development across service lines. Hybrid working and study support are offered.

Qualifications

• Open to candidates at various career stages, from AAT/ACCA students to seasoned professionals.
• Training and development available across multiple accountancy areas.
• Experience with service charge accounts a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping for a range of clients
• Preparation of VAT returns and supporting clients with MTD requirements
• Assisting with accounts preparation, from receiving initial records through to draft accounts
• Preparing personal and corporation tax returns
• Assisting with audit work, depending on experience and interest
• Supporting with service charge accounts and related work, with training provided where required
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Supporting clients with general accounting and compliance matters
• Developing knowledge across different areas of accountancy and taking on additional responsibilities as experience grows
