Job summary

Bis Henderson in the United Kingdom is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support ledgers, cash control and month-end processes. You will report to the Finance Manager and contribute to a varied, hands-on finance role with potential career development.

Role requires processing supplier invoices in Sage 50, maintaining supplier accounts, and assisting with payroll, VAT and intercompany reconciliations. On-site role in Warrington, UK.

Qualifications

• Previous Accounts Assistant experience across purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of Sage 50 or similar software; proficient Excel skills.
• Accurate, organised and able to meet deadlines; communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• AAT qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience in haulage, logistics or transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices in Sage 50, match purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier accounts, complete reconciliations and prepare BACS payment runs.
• Raise customer invoices, allocate receipts and support credit control and statement preparation.
• Complete bank reconciliations and post cash receipts and payments accurately.
• Support month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, VAT returns and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with expenses, payroll administration, audit queries and finance process improvements.
