Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD in Cumbernauld is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a manufacturing business. The role focuses on transactional finance, assisting with month-end processes and accruals/prepayments, and supporting the finance team.

You will work closely with qualified accountants and have the opportunity to develop accounting experience. The ideal candidate has an HNC or AAT qualification (or is studying towards) and benefits from development support while contributing to month-end

Qualifications

• Experience in transactional finance and month-end processes.
• Understanding of accruals and prepayments.
• Familiar with Dynamics 365 within a finance function.

Responsibilities

• Support sales ledger and purchase ledger functions.
• Process approximately 20–30 orders per day.
• Assist with month-end accounting processes.
• Prepare and post accruals and prepayments.
• Support balance sheet and account reconciliations.
• Process invoices and maintain financial records.
• Collaborate with Financial Accountant, Manufacturing Accountant and Finance team.
• Assist in preparation of financial information and reporting.
• Ensure high accuracy and attention to detail.
