Accounts Assistant Manager

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

We are working with an incredibly fast-growing, Top 100 firm, who are actively seeking an Accounts Assistant Manager to join their Birmingham team.

Based in the City Centre with easily accessible transport links, their niche client base has allowed their team in the UK to more than triple in size over the last 3 years.

They have built an incredibly welcoming culture and offer clear opportunities for growth and progression. This role is ideal for someone qualified who is eager to gain experience managing a portfolio of clients.

Your role as an Accounts Assistant Manager
  • Oversee the accounts preparation for a range of corporate clients.
  • Utilise Digital accounting software and work on consolidated accounts.
  • Supervise the preparation of year-end financial statements, plan work, manage annual timetables, and oversee junior team members.
  • Build and develop relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • After training, manage your own portfolio of clients.
What you'll need to succeed
  • ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice (or 4-5 years' experience in an audit and accounts split role).
  • Experience with consolidated accounts work.
  • Proficiency in Digita accounting software is essential.
  • Experience working to reporting standards FRS 102, 101, and IFRS.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and clients.
  • Desire to support and mentor junior team members.
