NXTGEN are working with a fantastic accountancy practice on the outskirts of Wymondham who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their supportive team. You’ll build strong client relationships, support day-to-day accounting needs and progress your career while continuing studies.

You’ll gain exposure to year-end accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT work, with a clear progression path and study support, all in a friendly, flexible hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Prepare year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of SME clients.
• Assist with tax returns, VAT returns and other accounting requirements.
• Prepare management accounts and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of local SME clients.
• Assisting with tax returns, VAT returns and other accounting requirements.
• Preparing management accounts.
• Building relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact for queries.
• Supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting needs.
• Working closely with the wider team to broaden knowledge and experience.
• Working across QuickBooks, Sage and Xero.
