NXTGEN is working with a well-established local accountancy practice to recruit an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join a growing team after several client wins.

You will sit within the accounts team, supporting a varied portfolio of clients and gaining exposure across multiple areas of practice. The role suits someone Part AAT qualified with experience in a UK accountancy practice, offering clear progression as the firm grows.

Qualifications

• Part AAT qualification and prior experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Experience with statutory accounts, VAT and corporation tax is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts for a range of clients including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Support with corporation tax computations and VAT returns.
• Assist with bookkeeping and management accounts preparation.
• Liaise with clients to request records and resolve basic queries.
• Work closely with senior team members to develop your technical knowledge.
• Support the wider practice where required to broaden your experience.
