An established industry player in Leeds is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support the Finance Manager and gain visibility into all aspects of transactional finance. Responsibilities include managing purchase and sales ledgers, issuing invoices, and maintaining cash books. I am working with a client based in the centre of Leeds who are looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their small finance team. Supporting and reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will play a key part and have visibility to all aspects of transactional finance.
Duties and responsibilities to include:
Payment of purchase invoices
Maintenance of purchase ledger
Managing relationships with suppliers
Issuing invoices to customers
Maintenance of sales ledger
Credit control in relation to customer payments
Maintenance of cash books and loan schedules
Managing treasury deposit arrangements
Processing of interest and capital loan repayments and other non-supplier payments where applicable
Incorporation of purchase ledgers, sales ledgers, cash books and loan schedules
Uploading the accounting data into the SUN accounting system
Accruals & prepayments and other journals
Minute taking at project board meetings
Processing of company's house documents
This role will suit individuals who have the following skills and experiences:
Prior experience of a finance role at a similar level
A working knowledge of Sage is essential along with good general IT capabilities
Strong communication and organisational skills
Strong academic background
