Accounts Assistant, Skipton, 20hrs, £30k Pro-rata

Hays is delighted to be working with a family-run consultancy that offers life-changing support to businesses whose staff have suffered critical incidents. No incident is too big or small for this company, which has worked with many clients for over 20 years. Established over 30 years ago, they have supported over 10,000 trauma events.

They are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team, working 20 hours per week with a pro-rata salary of £30,000. The role is fairly autonomous, requiring experience in comprehensive Accounts Preparation and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAGE Proficiency: Demonstrate excellent knowledge of SAGE software.
  • Bookkeeping: Ensure accurate month-end trading, profit and loss accounts, and balance sheets.
  • Budgeting & Analysis: Prepare sales and purchasing data to assist in budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Ledger Management: Process and reconcile purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Invoicing: Generate sales invoices.
  • Journal Transactions: Record month-end and year-end journal entries.
  • VAT Returns: Manage VAT return submissions.
  • Credit Control: Oversee credit control and liaise with clients.
  • Payroll Administration: Prepare and manage payroll, including HMRC reporting.
  • P11D Forms: Complete and submit P11D forms.
  • Pension Scheme: Administer the employee pension scheme.
  • Expense Management: Collect and process monthly expense reports from consultants.
  • Fleet Management: Maintain company vehicle details, including insurance and MOT.
  • Payment Schedules: Prepare and manage payment schedules.
