Job summary

Huntress - Crawley is seeking an Accounts Assistant in Horsham to support the Financial Controller in a busy, varied role. The position offers 25,000-27,000 GBP and a Monday-Friday 9am-5pm schedule with on-site parking.

You will gain exposure beyond day-to-day transactional finance and develop your accounting career in a supportive environment. You will work closely with the finance team, handling management information, accruals, reconciliations and ledgers, with study support for

Qualifications

• Experience in an accounts environment and a willingness to learn.
• Studying towards AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
• Proficient in Excel and accurate in work.
• Organised and reliable with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with monthly management information and management accounts.
• Preparing accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigating and reporting on variances.
• Supporting the year-end audit.
• Purchase and sales ledger.
• Processing supplier payments and customer invoices.
• Credit control and employee expenses.
• Supporting the Financial Controller with wider projects.
