Job summary

Kenton Black Limited, based in Central Lancashire, seeks an Accounts Assistant for a hybrid role managing day-to-day transactional activity for its German overseas entity. You will report to the Finance Lead in Germany and work from Chorley with exposure to UK and German finance teams.

The role requires fluent German, strong communication, and a track record in transactional finance. Part-qualified or QBE candidates are encouraged, with the option to travel within the group as needed.

Qualifications

Based in Central Lancashire, this highly acquisitional IT based organisation are seeking a talented Accounts Assistant to join an expanding group in a newly established role. A hybrid position, with one day in the office, the role will lead on day to day financial activity for their German overseas entity. A varied and diverse position, this role shall support further growth and comes with a competitive salary and package.

To be considered you shall be an experienced Finance professional with the ability to communicate fluently both written and verbally in German. As well as the finance skills, you must also have experince using the German language in a professional capacity.

Your New Role As Accounts Assistant:

Reporting to the finance lead in Germany, this role sits within a small team and will support the Financial Accountant based in Chorley, leading on all day to day transactional activity for a business unit located in Germany:

• Raising customer invoices and processing payments for the overseas entity
• Managing all day-to-day financial transactions across Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
• Bank reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end tasks where possible
• Processing of intercompany transactions
• Processing of travel expenses
• Inputting of employee expenses

The group finance function is based in Chorley, this role will sit within the head office function meaning you will gain exposure to the UK team as well as those employed to manage finance for the business in Germany.

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered you shall be an experienced Finance professional with the ability to communicate fluently both written and verbally in German. With the skills and experince stated in the JD, you shall have excellent communication skills. Part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE you shall have a strong skillset within transactional finance and have the ability to work autonomously with a focus on time management.
