Job summary

Vertu Motors is recruiting an Accounts Assistant in Nottingham South to support the dealership's finance team and wider business operations. The role offers a stable career path with training, development opportunities, and a supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will be detail-focused, highly organised, and proactive, with an interest in accounting. Prior experience is valued but not essential, and AAT study progression is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts or finance experience is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in the motor sector is advantageous but not required.
• Interested candidates should be keen to develop a career in finance and accounting.
• Ability to use Excel and Office tools effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support sales ledger and purchase ledger activities.
• Process, check and file invoices and statements.
• Handle supplier and purchase ledger queries.
• Assist with monthly management accounts preparation.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support daily banking and cashflow processes.
• Assist with credit control activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounts department.
