Search Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of an established accountancy practice in Grangemouth for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant. The role offers exposure to a varied client portfolio and progression within a supportive team.

You will assist with preparing accounts and tax returns, support general accounting duties, and develop your skills in a positive office environment with on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounts role, ideally within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Good knowledge of VAT and general accounting principles.
• Exposure to personal and corporate tax returns would be advantageous.
• Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or IRIS would be beneficial but is not essential.

Responsabilités

• Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant deadlines.
• Assisting with the preparation of corporate tax returns.
• Assisting with the preparation of personal tax returns.
• Supporting the management team with general accounting duties.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Liaising with clients to obtain relevant financial information and resolve queries.
• Completing general office and administrative duties.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
