Qualifications

• Experience working in a UK accountancy practice.
• Currently studying toward AAT, ACCA or ACA or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with cloud accounting software, especially Xero.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Complete VAT returns and assist clients with day-to-day accounting queries.
• Prepare bookkeeping records using cloud-based accounting software.
• Assist with corporation tax and personal tax computations.
• Support senior team members with client assignments and ad-hoc projects.
• Develop strong client relationships through regular communication and high-quality service.
• Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and legislation while pursuing professional development.

The Role

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Completing VAT returns and assisting clients with day‑to‑day accounting queries
• Preparing bookkeeping records and maintaining accurate financial information using cloud‑based accounting software
• Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax computations
• Supporting senior members of the team with client assignments and ad‑hoc projects
• Developing strong client relationships through regular communication and excellent service
• Keeping up‑to‑date with accounting standards and legislation while continuing your professional development

About You

• Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
• AAT qualified, studying towards AAT, ACCA or ACA, or qualified through relevant experience
• Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software, including Xero
• A proactive approach with an genuine desire to continue learning and developing within practice
• A team player who enjoys building lasting relationships with both colleagues and clients
