Job summary

The Accountancy Recruitment Group Ltd is working with a well-established Lancashire-based retail and e-commerce business to recruit an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper for their Irlam site. You will report to the Finance Manager and handle day-to-day transactional accounting in a busy finance team.

This varied role covers ledgers, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and assisting with month-end processes,Cash flow monitoring and supplier payments as required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and ledgers.
• Experience with purchase and sales ledgers and VAT basics.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.
• Process and reconcile bank transactions; perform bank reconciliations.
