Summary
Swarm Training is working with TimeLine Gifts to help search for a Level 2 Accounts Assistant Apprentice (AAT Level 2). This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse and exciting design and manufacturing company that supplies products to the heritage, tourist, and promotional industries.

Wage
£14,918.80 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Hours Core working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. A 30-hour week can be available if needed by a candidate.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Full training will be given for the below:

  • Carrying out a stock take of the highest-value products and amending the stock and any subcomponents in the account's software
  • Processing invoices and maintaining invoice documentation
  • Processing customer and supplier payments
  • Leading to working on the full Sales, Purchase and Finance Ledgers
  • Processing of bank reconciliations within agreed time scales
  • Examining data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices
  • Processing and preparing financial statements
The following may be required but are not a pre-requisite for the job
  • Responding to queries from customers via email or telephone with high-quality customer service and promptly

  • Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  • Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
  • Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
  • Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
  • Record transactional data.

More training information

Training will be with us - Swarm Training, a national provider of apprenticeships throughout the UK. The successful candidate will work towards the Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant qualification; this apprenticeship will take 12 - 18 months to complete with assessments. The Level 2 Accounts Apprenticeship comes with AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.

The apprentice is required to complete a minimum of 6 hours per week during working hours, working towards achieving the qualification. A tutor will conduct training sessions once a month, where the apprentice will be allocated tasks to be completed during working hours.
